Breaking News: Hundreds of NLRB Decisions Now Invalid
The busy news week continues as this morning the U.S. Supreme Court, in a rare unanimous vote, affirmed a lower court's ruling that President Obama's January 2012 appointments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) were made while the Senate was not in recess. This is important because now all of the decisions issued while these appointees were on the Board, which was from January 2012 through July 2012, are invalid.
However, this ruling will not have an immediate impact on the NLRB's current operations since all of the Board's current members received Senate confirmation.
