Maya Longacre

Attorney

Maya Longacre, an associate at Elarbee Thompson, specializes in employment litigation, labor relations, and business-related disputes. She counsels employers on a range of matters involving Title VII and ADA claims, reductions in force, public sector employment issues, and employee handbook compliance. Grounded in her attentive and responsive approach to client service, Maya takes pride in guiding companies through the process of making strategic decisions that support both legal compliance and positive workplace environments.

An Atlanta local, Maya earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law, where her interest in employment litigation developed through practical experience gained while working as a summer associate at Elarbee Thompson. During her time at law school, she served as a mediator in the Fulton County Magistrate Court, resolving landlord-tenant disputes and exercising her ability to manage high-stakes conversations with precision and tact.

Maya earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology, cum laude, from Rhodes College, where she played on the women’s basketball team. Her experience as a collegiate athlete developed her strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and competitive drive, qualities that are reflected in her work as an attorney.

Both inside and outside the courtroom, Maya’s clients value her attention to detail and focus on building trust and rapport. Whether she is reviewing workplace policies or preparing for litigation, Maya remains committed to ensuring that her clients feel confident in their path forward.

Maya enjoys staying active, cheering on her favorite college football teams (especially LSU), exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her goldendoodle and close-knit family.
